Right, we do just need to wait and see. Evidence of him disappearing multiple times deep in playoff runs suggests he won't reach the level he needs to, but it's not impossible. Either way, our cup chances are hitched to how he plays and whether he can reverse this decline imo.

That year was incredible. Been chasing that high ever since. He’s frustrating. I think we’re a legit cup contender in spite of his playing as a center on one of our top lines. It can’t get worse for him so there’s something to be hopeful about. Anyone who takes this as me saying we’re not a cup contender is intentionally misreading what I’m saying.

I just love how Trocheck is like I get 5% of the deal and Panarin gets 10% of the contract for the roles they played to get Laf to his stardom. You can tell these guys have a great chemistry

Zib being cooked at 31 would be awful. Seeing how Kreider and Panarin’s best seasons are coming in their 30s I just can’t believe Zib is done for good so young. It just makes no sense. For some reason he is just totally afraid of contact. I know he has always been a more finesse player but it seems even more so the last 2 years. Their needs to be a case study on his game
