Agree.
I don't even get mad. I don't root for losses.
I think I get more frustrated that some people on hockeybuzz could put a better plan in place for this team then what supposed hockey lifers are doing. - J35Bacher
I root for losses. It's the bitter medicine this team needs to get back on track.
At the same time I root for individual Flyers to play well.
It's a pretty weird place to be in. |

Tortorella opened the presser today by saying that Zamula left the ice on the game clinching goal Wednesday because Torts was yelling for him to change. Said that was on him, not Zamula. - StepfordSam
Good Torts owns up to that because that was a blunder. However, Zamula has been hands down our roster defenseman and it hasn’t been close. |

A lot of people on here speak like the Flyers will never be good again. I absolutely think they’ll be good again. There’s no where else to go but up. Now whether or not they’ll become a consistent contender again is a different argument. |

They could've had a bluechip defense prospect. In fact right now they could have a young player nucleus of Michkov, Gauthier and Buium to be excited about. - MJL
Yeah that's would have been great. Oh well. |

I watched FL - NYR and WPG SEA last night. The Flyers aren't even in the same league as those teams. It's such a stark contrast that it's crazy. |

People on here will lose their minds with this statement but they are not that far off. It looks bleak because the slotting is all wrong and what they need is hard to get. Michkov looks like a future superstar. Zavragin has the plausible upside of a top tier goalie. Add another elite talent at center and or defense and they just have to fill in the rest.
Hitting on another top 10 pick this season would be huge. |

Yeah I'm kind of stoked on the season as it's going. The happy accident of bottoming out for a top pick next summer. Cherry on top they clean out the existing coaching staff. |

Look at all these tards trying to bail out Torts and blaming Drysdale!
I don't know who is more incompetent...the organization or the fanbase. I guess they go hand in hand and that's why they have blown for so long.
I know people are doubling down so they don't look like silly, but JFC. Why would Drysdale hold on to it? That's idiotic. He has an outlet and the team swinging to go up the ice. So if Torts didn't yell for the last second change we are not talking about this. Drysdale is still sending it to his outlet and it moves up the ice.

The issue is the losing will just cause them to double down more. Relatively soon, this team will be right back in the cycle of trying to trade and sign their way to contention. Which will just put them right back in the circle of ineptitude that they have been in for over a decade.

Yea, they're only about 3 or 4 elite players away. That's not that far and with the Flyers proven ability to draft and develop elite players. Shouldn't take that long at all. I don't think they're that far behind teams such as Florida, Edmonton. Dallas, Winnipeg, etc. They don't have much more than we have. It's just slotting.

Three players were going for a line change behind the play, including Zamula. They were not set up yet for a break out.

Did you notice that the guy he passed it to was stationary. He wasn't an outlet. The play 100% there was to hold onto the puck and sort things out since there was no pressure coming from the opposition. Bantam A hockey stuff right there. Where was Zamula gonna go with that puck anyway? The Caps were just hanging out at center ice. They needed to regroup before the ensuing attack. |
