Can you call Utah and explain to them they need to offer up numerous draft picks so they can acquire rr? - corduroy
Make sure when he calls them that he tells him that they know that Ristolainen is solid second pair option. A hockey jedi mind trick.

I am sure that they are well aware that rr is hands down the best man on the flyers. Maybe they will offer an additional pick for shawsie as well |

Risto with 50% retained to Utah for future considerations. I would do that right now.

Risto is not as good against small and fast teams, but neither was Chara. Montreal is what, 12-3 in the last 15 games the Flyers. That is not a coincidence. It's a bad match up right now. And it’s completely idiotic for you to say Risto doesn't belong in the top 4, most if not all GMs know he is a good 2nd pairing option. - jd250
Of all GM’s know he is a good second pairing option why is he still on the Flyers? Look forward to your response. |

I had the Flyers finishing last in the division basically because of their defense and goaltending. I actually thought that they would be able to put the puck in the net. If all these guys stay in extended slumps this team will easily finish in the bottom 5 which would make lots of folks on here happy. - Phillywhiteout
I must admit the simply bad goaltending surprises me. I really thought they would be more sound. I was encouraged with Ersson’s first couple of games, but since then it’s really hindering the team.
A bunch of young guys are really struggling and the D has not been very solid. I thought this team would take a small step forward but it’s not been a very solid start towards that. I don’t think anyone’s quit on Torts, but it’s pretty obvious his game plans aren’t being followed.
Is it mixed messaging? In one instance you tell a player to be responsible defensively ….in the next breath you’re telling guys to take some chances because we need offence? What ever it is they are accomplishing neither unless your names Konecny or Michkov (and now Coots). |

I’d keep Risto and park Johnson in the press box unless we are in full tank mode. |

Although things didn’t workout in our favor last night, I like exactly the coaching decisions made on the back end last night. Zamula obviously has to play at some point but I’m most certainly glad he sat in favor of Andrae and sticks right on the right and sticks left on the left.
One issue I’m noticing with Drysdale is he’s starting to remind me of Michael Del Zotto. You know the offense is there but where is the creativity? |

ej AKA "The 7th D-man" had almost 12 minutes of ice time last night -- Zamula should have played |

Kolosov's positioning is a ton better. He has work to do for sure but he at least looks like he belongs.
Andrae made a bunch of good exit passes. I did not get to focus on his d-zone coverage though.
Less ND moving forward please. - mickel25
Fedotov is a weird one.
It is obvious he has gotten by on his size rather than his technique however he just doest look like he is comfortable in the net, hes looking down at his feet and doesnt seem sure of where he is at. Im not sure if that is how he played in the KHL but it seems unlikely. In the two and half games he played last season I did not notice him doing this.

Disagree. Zamula deserved and should have sat. He needed to sit and clear his head. Hopefully he gets back in Tuesday and plays better.

The miracle sit for one game to clear your head method of player development. Should work wonders. How about the Flyers try something different for a change. |
