Not a very good Dman when he can't stay on the ice. Caufield gonna have a 40 goal season. - Phillywhiteout
Marty Biron just said Caufield will have “multiple “50 goal seasons in his career on the Habs broadcast….just to add to your position…. |

The Flyers have been horrendous all season defensively. The coaches are not getting it improved. It's ignorant to say it has nothing to do with Tortorella. There are many issues with this team defensively and one of the major issues is that the forwards are struggling to sort out coverages. What has been happening that may be a contributor to that? Perhaps the absurd amount of line juggling - MJL
Flyers now outscored 19- 6 in the 2nd period. Possibly just a random outcome or something more. This HC juggles line like I have never seen. He just can't leave lines alone for 2 periods, forget about 2 games. I've watched other games this season, no HC comes close to in game line juggling as Torts.

It’s only fair to put some of the blame on coaching especially after all the accolades Torts got last year for their unexpected success for most of the year….agreed. |

ND is not the reason they losing this game. That being said, as much as he has been playing poorly, I would have rather seen Brink in this game. None the less, the Flyers are losing this game because when they are playing against a small and fast team, they simply can't keep up. - jd250
You continue to use this ignorant, uninformed pet phrase of they can't keep up.

I say 60! Multiple 60 or 70 goal seasons and breaks Gretzky’s record before Ov does. |

There is zero reason to ever play ND. He is a reason they are losing.
He stinks and adds no value while a guy who can score sits. |

So far Poehling, Frost and Cates can’t score. |

I never could wrap my head around Fletcher having to outbid and give out a 4 year contract to an aging enforcer who could barely play hockey and here we are still trying to play an older/slower enforcer who can't play hockey.

Cmon now, Deslaurier and his 6 mins arent helping but its certainly not the sole reason they are losing. He shouldnt be playing and was partly responsible for 1GA but they are losing because they have played like garbage

The only person he outbid was himself.

I would have hoped there was a plan for the Flyers to secure a top 5 pick.. Looks like incompetence will have to do. |

Is it though? What could Briere have done differently to prevent this? Add guys through trade? Even if Briere moved some guys we hoped that would be moved the results would have been the same. It isnt like Briere is actively trying to make this a playoff team like Fletcher was. He's pretty much just sitting back and letting things play out

Literally the only reason to watch this team is the first line. This team blows!!! Frost and Farabee need to be traded. Thanks! |

Briere has re signed 5 players to extensions, I believe. I do wonder how often a team seems intent on re signing their own players who have not come close to winning anything. Now I'll be very simplistic that I would think accumulating draft picks offers the potential to draft a prospect potentially better. Certainly not a given, but doubling down on a roster devoid of above average talent seems risky.

Michkov's best friend needs to put a stop to all this extra curricular activity. Torts needs to send him out after Caulfield. Wait, that is probably not a good idea.

So most of those players dont matter. Konecny and Tippett are the only 2 long term deals and the Flyers dont exactly have prospects knocking on the door right now. Guys like Poehling, Hathaway, Laughton and Cates can be moved. Seeler is the only one I view as a mistake as we are commited for 2 years due to the NTC
We have a ton of young players on the team and we are still evaluating to see what these players. Farabee, Brink, Frost, Foerster, and Drysdale are key young players that we still dont know what they are and if they are part of our future.

Bobby brink isn’t a key anything. He’s nothing. Frost and Farabee are what they are, they aren’t getting any younger. Jury is out on Drysdale but early returns arent by great |
