Not much to (frank)ing talk about regarding the Islanders

Hey we allowed fewer than 3 goals again.

That's great!

No, we scored zero

Defense works and the offense is gone. Offense works then the defense is gone.

I'm not the world's most diehard baseball fan so this isn't quite the level of despair that I'd have if the Islanders lost in the Cup final, but just the sheer level of idiocy that led to them blowing a 5 run lead is astounding.

I coached 8 year olds in Little League for a season and I don't recall having an inning that horrific.

I find it funny many will blame Boone. He might not be the greatest manager and all managers make questionable moves. You cannot blame the manager for last night. Cashman is more at fault with how this roster was constructed.

Boone is a horrible manager of pitchers but last night was not on him. Cole was in beast mode last night up until it fell apart and by the time that play to first happened he was in shell shock.

I think Verdugo is absolutely gone. Probably Torres too. He can be so good and then so bad. Rizzo is probably toast as a hitter, but I assume he will be back with only one year left on his deal. Holmes falling apart was unexpected, not sure what happens with him.

I don't think I would have said this 6 months ago but I would be very open to resigning Soto and trading Judge. Depending on the return, obviously.

I think Torre would get heat for how he burned out the bullpen. Torre had a much better team than Boone. Especially the pitching.

I was just thinking the same thing. Unfortunately, it is too early to close up shop as no one is desperation mood with end cap space yet.

I was rooting for the Mets too. I have a good friend that has a majorly high-level front office/baseball ops job with them. Would have loved to see him get a ring.

So now I have to root for both NY teams
