I don't really understand why he was euthanized, I read it was because of a potential risk of rabies but can't you just test the animal while he's alive..? not sure what the laws are about having a pet squirrel but personally I don't see what the big deal is.

I know they're obviously not a common household pet, Pete, but if someone rescues a squirrel after it was hit by a car, takes care of it and creates some kind of bond with the animal then I really don't see what the issue is.

you're allowed to shoot them, others should be allowed to like them lol.


edit: correction, actually the dude started taking care of it after his mother was hit by a car lol
