I haven't read or watched the whole story yet on Mika being upset about reduced ice time, but I'd love to know how he doesn't get that consistently playing to about 47% of your potential might have consequences.
It's crazy to think that he and Miller are now the roster spots that are most worrisome.

im thrilled I don’t have to kill Kakko anymore my fault was i expected it a bit sooner I guess

My faith is there for Zib but it’s not been good. Miller needs to lift weights or something. He is so weak

I'm really not worried about Mika at this point. I don't like what I'm seeing but I can live with it for now. I do get why people are so concerned about him though, if he's not going this team will ultimately not be able to get it done. He's absolutely integral.

I am more concerned about Miller and Lindgren.

you hit it on the head- so far in his career, Mille's a big guy that plays small. We all know the type in basketball- applies here too.

We all know his refusal to shoot has hurt. But its the only line (There was a few games this year that were the exception) that does not constantly attack the puck in the offense zone, especially on a dump-in.
- Greschnergy#4

I'm really not sure what to make of his refusal to shoot. What is even more aggravating is that they keep moving it towards him like that's the plan. He has had the time and space multiple times to pot that goal and he throws it away far too often.

I also think Washington is playing really well this season, coming out of gate strong, Ovechkin looks about 10 years younger than he did last April and they were motivated by playing against the team that embarrassed and swept them in the playoffs 6 months ago

team's just gotta move on

Some of it is that he has fallen in love with shooting at krieder and getting a tap or bounce.

I agree on all points. This Washington team did not look anything like last year's team.

Connor McMichael becoming a really good player

one of those examples of patience working out for a team, hopefully like the patience in Kakko continuing to pan out

For sure.
There have been times over the last number of years where he is one of my favourite players. When he gets into Hound mode and is anticipating plays and stripping guys from behind to go wheeling back in for a solid chance, he is like few others in the league. But, we've only seen that a handful of times over the last 2 seasons.

I agree with the idea that it's October, though. Just hope he's got poop figured out by April!!!

I think we knew he’s at his best with Chytil. For whatever reason he brings out the best in Kakko. And Cuylle is just a bull that compliments them both very well

This is the key to a cup imo (this line). Staying healthy and it seems like the sky is the limit for them as a line. Because in the playoffs as we’ve seen the top 6 will struggle at times we will most definitely be counting on them

Hey Jan. If you get tired of hearing these guys b!tch, complain and disrespect your blog with their nonsense, we’d love to have you as a NJ Devils blogger. And we’d actually comment on your analysis vs trashing each other on a daily basis. Come on and cross the river. You’re always welcome!

normally I would have the attitude that hey they made the world series, it was a hell of a ride

losing like that kills the whole thing, they would have been better off missing playoffs thats how bad it is

How about you just call out anyone here who you think makes the blog an objectively worse place? You're an outsider. No skin in the game. Even if I'm one of them in your mind. Whatever you say goes.

He refuses to go to the middle of the ice with or without the puck. He refuses to shoot (unless on the PP). He forces passes. The only saving grace for him is when Kreider is in front of the net or on a 2v1 on the PK. I think he should be pulled out of the lineup for a game and see if that sparks something. It basically can't be worse than this. Make him spend the week watching clips from his 41 goals in 57 games
