To me, thats the most important aspect to calling OV the "greatest goal scorer". The sheer fact that he has been this consistent for the time frame is amazing. The only time he has really missed is the Covid shortened season. I think there are better pure goal scorers in the history of the game but....

When it comes to athletics and performance, consistency is the biggest factor for me.

Hyman had 50 goals last year, doubt he hits 50 again in his career. He had a great season, but sometimes things just go right. What matters is how often a player does something great.

I actually saw the presser live last night and I have no problem with those comments.

Absolutely because down the road michkov will be a better all around player.
And the more different situations you can put him out there the better

I actually have no problem with that. Now if he had kept him out longer, say a period or the rest of the game, then I would have.

Why it's a learning lesson, it also shows the team nobody is above the team.

I imagine in a few years time michkov will be better for this because we can have him on the ice for more different situations.

I'd like to know what happened to Fedotov? Is he back in Russia? It seems Kolosov has taken the back up position, so why isn't Fedotov getting some work with the Phantoms?
- Phillywhiteout

Why do you say that? Kolosov played 1 game so far. Unless something changes in the coming days, they seem like they are going to run 3 goalies. Maybe a decision will need to be made when York Returns. As of right now Andrae should not be sent back so they will need to figur something else out.

No ov is the greatest goal scorer ever, imagine what he do with 80s goaltending, goaltending back then was awful and the position did start to get good till the late 90s

Now give OV a wooden stick, no two-line passing, poop for skates, 5V5 OT, a blueline of pilons who can't outlet a pass, beers in between periods and a cigarette in his mouth.

Im not sure thats the issue with Michkov. Frankly the kid looks invisible for most games right now. My guess is that he is gassed. We are seeing little flashes here and there of his playmaking but its nowhere near as visible as prior. He even looks slower on the ice. The mistakes could be symptoms

I checked the boxscore for BOS and STL and looks like Kolosov was backup for both. Maybe it means something but likely not. We'd have to see which one gets the next game. If its Kolosov then it looks like Fedotov has lost his job

Ovi as he is now sure but you also have to take into account players did not have the same access to training and technology players have today. Players these days more jacked than 30-40 years ago. No to mention how different hockey sticks are.

Game was also so much different back then. No way to know for sure how everything would translate to that time. It was much rougher, lots of clutching and grabbing not to mention a lot of what is called today would be allowed.

Now imagine OV in the future....where there is 100% no contact, goaltenders discuss their feelings during the intermission with the other team, passing is only legal unless you do a spin-o-rama first and the game is played 2 on 2

Did anyone else not know the PWHL finished their first season? I didn't even know they played the first game, let alone giving out their Walter Cup (Is that for Gretzky? Who is Walter? Was Lance taken?).

I've heard zero coverage of the PWHL, which is a major shame.

He's 19 years old! He's had a training camp, pre season and 10 NHL games and he's gassed? LOL. He's a very young player now playing in the best league in the world. He's simply making bad decisions. Both with the puck and without.
