He's very composed with the puck and defensively has good instincts...unlike #8 right now

Scottie has played a lot and played well. Kudos to him stepping up when needed.

How about the kid George?

High hopes for George. He looks great.
Mayfield is finally healthy and therefore more physically capable. I guess that will translate to fewer penalties.
It's always funny how teams who lose big players tend to fall back on their system and play a tighter game.

It reminds of the days of Cappy when the Islanders were eliminated and then started to play solid defense.

George playing over 24 minutes in his 2nd NHL game is pretty ridiculous. knock on wood for a solid NHL career.

It's only two games, but George reminds me of a Leddy type that can move or skate the puck out of trouble.

Not sure he was ready for that big a role last season...

Hutton is 29 yrs old... At point will he be ready? To me he is a career AHL Player.

He could be just what the doctor ordered. Hopefully his upside continues. Maybe we can than move on from one of these antiques.

As a 3rd pair dman in a Cap world, Hutton may be a good option.

Pretty awesome to watch someone his age log first pair minutes. His skating was noticeable.

Only been two games, but George really seems comfortable out there. His skating with the puck is fantastic. Roy taking notice...

Fair enough. I didn't realize he was that old. My main point was that I was never a fan of the undersized Aho, and thought Hutton was a better option as a depth d-man.

It was surprising Brent though about coaching the Islanders. I thought he had no interest when Charles owned the team?

So will they ask Pulock or Mayfield to play on the left side? Or will they call up somebody from Bridgeport? Or will they get Romanov back in time?
