I would have put money down that she Tulsi would have had better numbers than Kommiela.
The problem is the big part of the democrat party now doesn’t want anything to do with moderates.
If the DNC had even embraced RFK and Tulsi to be a big part of the administration they may have attracted more independents.
Luckily for us and the country we will not have to find out.

So, suddenly, in the say 200 elections over a 50 year period in US, Canada, Germany, UK, France, Italy, Australia, Spain etc., zillions of people with an "ulterior motive" pop up and they all happen to be here, in this precise instant in time?

In any event, I am extremely delighted in the outcome. This was pending all over the western world for a long time. If he hadn't won, this would have fueled the sense of grievance and just turbocharged a much more competent guy like say, Vance.

Trump, and his party will have greater control over US administration in the past 100 years (when you add the Supreme Court composition). They own the responsibilities, good or bad, for the next several years. There is no rational diversion left for blame or credit.

When Brexit happened, the country was 50-50. Now it is 60-30 (believing it was a mistake). Personal experience is the greatest motivator of learning.

I am utterly thrilled with the outcome. I am especially looking forward to the deportations, the tarriffs and prominent roles for Musk, Flynn, and especially Kennedy.

No she did not….to this day no one knows how she would have continued to back Ukraine or Israel or even if she would have…. Was the voter to trust her comments in 2019 or 2024? I think her inability to offer a platform with any specifics doomed her.
I guess “specifics” matter. Thank god.

She expressed many times that nothing will change wrt Israel. That's why she lost the Arab vote in MI. This is consistent with her voting records in the administration.

Ditto Ukraine. I had hoped she would jettison Biden's diffidence and allow limited missile strikes into Russia but we will never know.

I read many (typically stupid, including from a guy who works in the Canadian Navy) comments about partitioning Ukraine. It was never about partitioning Ukraine. It was about NATO membership.

Russia recently rigged the vote in Georgia with public ballot stuffing by goons. It tried to buy the election in Moldova and narrowly failed. It has essentially annexed Belorussia. It planted a bomb in Moscow to provide the pretense to invade Chechnya. In summary, it wants to be surrounded by pliant, corrupt states that can be invaded if things go south for Russia.

Once Putin wins the war against Ukraine (no NATO membership) in a few days after Trump takes office, the modern textbook for how to defeat the US in the world stage will be written. Don't do anything drastic: wait it out and keep up the pressure. This is no longer the Cold War generation. The fortitude is gone.

Before 2030ish, China will implement the naval blockade against Taiwan gradually. In a few years, the US will crack.
