Oh no, the next Mark Howe traded? I thought Torts and all the old dinosaurs loved him since he got in a fight last pre-season?

Not at all. But come on 6 years is ridiculous. Especially with all the crap that gets spewed on this site. Daily.

It's an end of an era. I have read you every day here for longer than I can remember. I've learned a ton. As someone who also works 80 hour weeks, plus family, your blog has been my little escape.
I'm fine leaving HB (the discussions are not as good as Usenet used to be) especially with the pop ups, and look forward to following you elsewhere.
Thank you for everything!

Attard traded for a career 3rd pairing AHL defenseman. Attard had so much promise when drafted, good college defenseman, right hand shot, good size and skating ability. I feel this is a failure with Flyers development to not get more out of Attard. Unless he has some mental issues, this pick should have paid off for the Flyers.

He definitely had all the tools. He definitely had all the chances as well. It’s a shame for the Flyers and the player never reached a higher level. One of those cases again where when watching the player it always seemed like there were decision making issues…just has never been able to play at NHL level. Maybe in Edmonton something can click.

The year he was given an extra preseason game because he fought, should be all you need to know about the flyers development process

The reality is that he is an offensive defenseman, who is not a good defender. Who didn't even put up high offensive numbers at the AHL level

rather take back a 7th rd pick, if that was even an option. What are the chances Gleason plays at least 1 game for the Flyers ths year.

Briere has no imagination when it comes to trades. This is a what's the point type of trade. Should have gone after the defender that San Jose got from the Laffs. Bringing back a career AHLer is just like...why bother?

Don't you eventually have to play a prospect at the NHL level. I don't see this one as a failure in development by the Flyers.

While no official confirmation, it sounds of if the player secretly skating in hope of a return is Ellis. Hmmm...
