Knies is going to get better and better...this season.

I like him on the PP, I would like to see him get a run on PP1. He had that one play where he didn't know where to go with the puck or pass it and lost it...Give him some rope and he figures it out and scores a LOT of goals.

Stolarz has the better numbers so far this year but he already got a start against the Bruins and lost. I think Woll should have got the start tonight. Give him a chance to rebuild his confidence against a team he played exceptionally well against last time he played them.

Also, fire Savard. If the PP was even average, the Leafs could be 1st in the division right now.

2nd one was lucky.

But the 1st and the 3rd were just point shots with Knies screening in front of the goalie. Between Tavares and Knies, they can do that with or without Matthews in the line-up. It's more of a factor of Rielly shooting at the right time than anything.

Let's see if they score any PP goals in the next 10 games because I'm still not convinced their problems are fixed.

I still stand by the logic of it.

We need Woll to get his confidence back. If anybody is thinking Stolarz is going to play like this 50-60 times a year for the first time in his career, you're lying to yourself. He was brought in to be the back-up and Woll is the guy who is supposed to be the starter of the future. If Woll plays, he could have just as easily got the shutout. Or won 4-1 or 4-2 because Woll has played well against the Bruins before.

As for the PP, like I said before, let's see if they can make this a regular thing. They scored 2 PP goals against LA and then went on a lengthy power outage for many games after (like 1 PP goal over the next 8 games). The PP will be fixed when they can do this on a regular basis.

If the Leafs PP was even average, they'd be in 1st. That's still true. If anything, this game proved it.

Well I've taken over the Habs blog for the guys over there, but I've been pretty clear I'd write a blog every week at best.

As long as you can keep the thread on the main page, the site's users are happy. They don't come here for news or for the blogs, they come for the exchanges and the community.
