Huh, Stolarz' GAA is 2 bucks exactly. That's pretty good.
Still, I've seen Leaf goalie records get broken by Raycroft and Campbell before, so I won't start sucking my own Richard just yet, even though I really want to.

Gonna rename my Richard to Stolie because it stands tall in clutch situations.
The point wasn't about the players it was about the organization, genius. - joel878
No, the point is you're wrong and don't realize it because you must strawman and insult instead of just having a normal discussion. The organization got rid of Cup winning players they acquired by tanking.
Florida didn't just "keep tanking" either, did they.
See, this is another example of taking things out of context and creating a strawman.
I told the Habs fan, yes, Montreal should just keep tanking. They're not ready yet to stop. But you take that to mean that teams should never stop coming in last place. That's either pure ignorance of the English language or intentionally distorting an argument so you can argue something completely different from the original discussion or point.
They established their core group from lottery picks,
Florida drafted 4th overall in 2001, 3rd overall 2002, 3rd overall in 2003, 7th overall in 2004, 10th overall in 2006, 10th in 2007, 3rd overall in 2010, 3rd overall in 2011, 2nd overall in 2013, 1st overall in 2014, 11th overall in 2015, 10th overall in 2017.
abandoned the tank
After 17 years?
and spent years adding around that group and growing.
Was it 17 years worth of adding or tanking?
They tanked, until they didn't,
For 17 years?
and then they spent years not tanking and eventually won. Just like the rest.
So...tank for 17 years...then abandon the tank...ya your logic is fantastic here.
Is that enough tanking for you to get the (frank)ing point or are you still going to deny it? They had to tank A LOT before they could get a core that won a Cup. They didn't just tank once or twice then make the playoffs. They basically rebuilt twice in a row before they got the team they have today.
During that 17 year span, what did the Leafs do, by comparison? They wasted their time and did basically nothing up until today winning next to nothing in the playoffs. Were they ready to stop tanking? Maybe not yet as one or two additional tanking seasons could be doing the Leafs a lot of benefit right now (which by the way was my original point way back which you also conveniently ignored).
You perpetually speak to everyone as though you are the only person on planet earth who knows anything, it's just it's a tough sell when everything that comes pouring out of your female genitalia mouth is stupid.
You described yourself perfectly and thus accusing others of doing exactly what you are at your core.
