Berube should tell these bumholes to not bother taking off their gear.
I’d love to hear that he went full Letterkenny coach and went into the room, kicked a garbage can, and screamed “Just rest until the building empties out and put on a practice jersey because it’s bag skate time female doges”!
That’ effort was hot garbage minus Stollie who they hung out to dry. 🤮
I mean it won’t happen (especially since they play tomorrow) but his that was awful to watch.
I’m guessing the plane ride to Washington won’t be fun for anyone. |

Eller at 2.45M for the cost of Lilly? I woulda done that. He's still a hard checking 15g guy that plays 3C. |

Totally agree. Leafs missed on another one.
The price on that type of player at the deadline will be higher so they'd be better off doing it now rather than later.
I think Dubas would have taken one of his former favorite pets (Holmberg?) instead of a draft pick too. |

But the Leafs never play down to their opponents. Unpossible.
Kind of crazy how the Leafs go years in a row without being shutout but this year, the Habs and the Sens are shutting them out. |

What makes you think Dubas had any intentions of trading with the leafs? Can't miss if you have no shot

Tell me you dont know anything without telling you dont know anything.
Canada came out of the pandemic successfully and better than most G7 countries.
Its unfortunately that privately owned companies took advantage of the situation by raising prices on everything. |

What makes people think the leafs had any interest in the Ellers?
Same old story I guess, any time any player comes available the Leafs should have traded for him.

Exactly
It's funnier because it's not even that the leafs should have traded for him. It's that some fans think the leafs could have if they only tried and everyone else is an upgrade on what the leafs have. |

Just read the Leafs don’t have a single 5 on 5 goal from their forwards in the last five games.
This team has been held to one 5 on 5 goal or fewer nine times already in the first 17 games.
34 or not… that’s crazy right … with all that offensive talent… 23 / 16 / 88 / 91 / 44 … 34 .. |

The jays signing soto wont make a huge difference if they dont continue to add. Which will be one of the questions Soto's agent would ask.
Instead the Jays should:
Extend vladdy - move to 3rd
Sign sasaki out of japan.
Sign LHP Fried
Sign Alonso
Sign RP Scott
Sign ss willy adames
Get a DH
Trade bichette for prospects or bullpen arms if he doesnt want to sign a fair long term deal (low 20's)
Easy peasy

correction, The Jays signing Soto would make a huge difference. you cant say it wouldnt. hes an alltime great...already.
but, there are other options. Santandar, Adames, alonso..but all lesser options
Juan Soto's 2025 projection, plus the Blue Jays' projected improvement (+9.7 wins by Steamer), would place the Toronto's median forecast at 90 wins before any other additions. The Blue Jays don't have to add a Soto-level star to return to playoffs, but they do need significant external help even with the sixth-best projected improvement in MLB, according to Steamer, based upon players they already have under club control.

As much as I would love Soto on the Jays, I can't possibly imagine (hope for?) this scenario happening.
He's going to one of the big clubs down south: Yanks, Mets, or Dodgers. If not those 3, I'm thinking Red Sox, Cubbies, or Giants.
Having said that, the Jays org has long been very Dominican-friendly with some all-time greats playing for the club in the past. So maybe he continues that trend?
One can only hope. 🤞 |

Well the Jays can pay him.
They have the separate budget like they did for Ohtani.
Ohtani was down to the Jays and Dodgers. Don’t see why the Jays couldn’t get him.
I have no idea what Soto wants but in terms of money the Jays can be with the top offers for sure, if they want to be. |

So Robertson has been crap, I don’t even think it’s his fault he’s just a horrible fit in this system. He’s tried to adjust but he just gets knocked off the puck and he doesn’t get those same grade A looks where he can utilize his shot.
Holmberg is meh, I’m ready to waive him.
Would like to see Steeves, I think he could take one of their spots. We aren’t far off from trying Minten or Greb for the other. |
