If he lives in Canada, he gets paid for doing nothing all the time.

I would think that good employees do good work regardless of their location

yeah. it doesnt matter where your ass is. if you can do your job the same.

but my work day ends at 4pm. Im still sitting at my work from home office.... working. because someone needs help with something..a bit urgent.

if I went into the office, I would be sitting in traffic instead.. for 90 mins..not able to help this person

For the most part offices are becoming a bit obsolete, companies are starting to realize they need to try to minimize their concrete footprint. The overhead is nuts.

However, some other companies are still trying to force their employees to go into the offices 3 days week to help validate the office space they are stuck with for the next few years.

I have to imagine that if you run that many ads, you're at least paying for the servers.

i work for a private company.

but this is great, they have said they encourage us to go into the office more.

next week they are not renewing the lease on the office I have worked from for 18 years.

so my options are to drive to Quebec which is farther away.. or go to an office downtown with no parking available for us...I have to pay $25 to park somewhere else

but im more productive ...or something

all of these things happen outside of work hours. and $25 to park is practically free

then its easy to understand why many value those extra 2-3 hours you dont waste driving.. not to mention to fuel, wear and tear on vehicles.

for no extra value.

$25 a day 2-3 days a week is like $2500 year. practically free

I don't buy the narrative some of the media is pushing that this system makes the leafs tired and show poorly sometimes.

Florida is celebrated for their play EVEN in the year they were just a WC team.

Its just a new system that will take some time. With AM and Patches out this team just does not have the depth to roll out a good bottom 6. That will change eventually from help on the outside.

There is about a 0% chance Robertson and Holmberg are Leafs come playoffs. Holmberg is probably a Marlie and Robertson is traded.

The Jays finished 12 games behind the final wildcard.

I don't think one guy makes that much of a difference.

What if it was a really really really good guy though; like a peach of a guy AND good in the room.

That's what Ive heard as well.....but I really just think Soto's agent is just using the Jays as leverage.

Managers like to be able to see their minions. It gives them a feeling of power and control that they cannot get when people are working remotely.
