Strange stats ....

9 days ago Leafs were tied for 6th in the league in 5v5 goals per 60. Slight step back from last year but really good considering the emphasis and improvement was on 5v5 defence. The only thing holding them back from a better record was the PP.

9 days later (4 games) they've sunk to the bottom half of the league in 5v5 goals and the talking heads are all over them about lack of goal scoring. In those 4 games they go 3-1, all without their best goal scorer, and bag a gazzilion special teams goals but only 1 5v5 goal.

Clearly the problem is our PP was too good the last week.

We're not generating anything.
