Hello Boilermaker,
Have you seen Eklund rumor that Buffalo is considering trading B Byram? Really. Reportedly because they need help up front, at centerice position. Right....remember Buffalo traded Middlestadt for Byram. It is pointed out that Buffalo did not try to sign any centers over the summer.
Doesn't Buffalo like Benson and Krebs? They want a top line center - I have no idea why Buffalo trades Byram. Byram, Power, Dahlin don't break that trio up. They have some toughness and Jokiharju to play along side that trio. But if they did trade a dman, Byram makes most sense? Should be a one for one trade, top end end talent for top end talent or no deal
The Buffalo GM and coaching just don't have a way to get this team to be cohesive. Lot of young talent but talent alone doesn't always get the victories.
What would you do if you were Buffalo GM? |

I've been thinking about this for awhile now and think Q would be the perfect fit for BUF. ...... Lotta talent on that squad and Q would have a lot to work with.

If I remember correctly Buffalo traded Middlestat last year because it was expected they couldn't afford his RFA contract last summer. Now they are sitting with 7M in cap space and Middlestadt extended with the Avs for 5.75M. So Adams the GM, is now looking for a top 6 forward and dangling Byram as trade bait. If he didn't make that trade he would be better situated now. Definitely some short sightedness on his part IMO. Seems like everyone is looking for a 2C or other top 6 forward talent. Good luck to him landing one.
Byram on his way to a 3rd team in his short career? Wonder if he's got a bad attitude, or if he's a problem in the locker room? |

Lardis with a goal for Brantford today. 16 games - 14G and 6 A.
Spellacy with an assist for Windsor. 14 games - 5G and 7A. |

All that because Kurashev has an easy out of the zone and puts it right on a Wild stick. |

Allan not looking out of place, he’s keeping it simple, same with Kaiser. I saw AA’s picture on a milk carton today, I’m okay if they don’t find him. |

Darren Pang is Captain Obvious, his commentary adds absolutely nothing but a simple, bland description of the replay with an occasional "Right There!" At least Edzo could explain the Xs and Os of a play within seconds of the whistle being blown. |

Not bad D coverage, but these guys are kings of not making the easy play to get it out of their own zone. |

Is Bedard hurt? Ice time is way down only 14:00 so far.
And he steps on the ice and the Hawks get scored upon. |

I really like how Minny plays defense, they always seem to have their sticks on the ice in the defensive zone. They were dangerous on the pk anticipating the last second pass at the blue line. |

Completely turtled the entire 3rd period and take it back in OT. That was nice collapsing pressure on the 3 on 3 by Jones and Hall that led to the GW goal. |

That's a damn good club the Hawks beat.. No doubt a goalie win but the team played well. .. Scary 3rd period but other than that nice effort and outcome. |

It's crazy how the puck is not going in the back of the net for the Blackhawks right now, like Donato's shot. |

Kind of game that should upset or piss off the Wild; they knew who was the better team |

They enter the zone very poorly. It’s almost always three wide. There’s rarely any levels to their attack. They also tend to skate into each other a bit too often. |

They also lack finishers, that’s just the cold hard truth. Wouldn’t hurt to have some offense from the backend either. |

Trying to project possible scenario with the Blackhawks lineup based upon the talent in the system and NHL team is an exercise worth thinking about now that we appear to have a for real legitimate scorer who should be here maybe after even a half season next year in the AHL
Of course I am thinking of Lardis
Of course we don’t know what move(s) KD will make after this season. Who knows whether a top choice is a future top line forward and or a top line current NHL could be an addition on next season’s team
So what I am surmising is, there needs to be some size and toughness flanking Bedard and hopefully a second line ace whether that could be Lardis or someone else
The rebuild has several big and smaller changes coming for sure. In both Lardis and Nazar scoring shows this season the Blackhawks could have pieces to make two legitimate scoring lines |

Yet they win and this place is crickets. Not on you, just saying...
I know I was fansplaining it yesterday but another reason this place has earned the BOD moniker. |

Add better talent and the coach may be open to different attack plans on offensive foray. Will be interesting to see Moore with his speed when he gets here and gets a real role..As well should the dmen prospects arrive and the lineup has an improvement in puck carrying and mobility |

I agree to all the above.
I think with better forwards you can at least play in the opponents end more when you have the lead. |

I wouldn't hold out too much hope for any of the prospects scoring goals on a regular basis. Bedard is struggling mightily in that category, and if he can't, these other prospects can't either.
But then again, Richardson has them playing the zone trap defense, hoping to eek out a few more wins to save his job. And as history has shown, teams burning most of their energy overplaying the middle of the ice have little left for the offensive zone. |

I didn't, but you post a lot of dumb mopey poop. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you aren't an expert in interpreting non-verbal communication signals but are just reading things into a player you never wanted the Hawks to draft.
Cause you know...he's not your guy.
Keep posting. It's dumb and fun all at the same time. - HawkintheD
You dont watch the game but someone else who did is posting poop. And yes i would have selected demidov over arty, thats a preference. You have your own. And the reason i prefered demidov is because what this team needs most is someone who can put a puck in the net, which from what i am reading from the four or five self styled elites with hockey knowledge on this board is what the hawks needed and still do. And please let me know after how many games we hockey illiterates can post stating that bedard so far this year has been poop. |
