Michkov back in. Drysdale and Frosto out
- StepfordSam

Long overdue! Looks like Frost’s knees won’t be scoring any accidental goals for him tonight.

Poehling and Michkov back into the lineup tonight against the Sharks. Frost will be a healthy scratch. I hate it but I understand it, Frost has played awful this year. I think the Flyers need to cut bait with him. Eric Johnson is back in tonight also for Drysdale, who is dinged up.

JD isn't dinged up IMO. Trying to save face instead of saying a healthy scratch.

JD has been awful all year. Right now, he looks like a total bust. Don't see what he brings to the table at this time. Wonder what his trade value is at the moment.

O'Connor tweets Michkov on a line with Poehling and Richard.

Whatever, Torts.....

- MBFlyerfan

But you know this will change within a few shifts depending on how the game goes. I'm not worried about starting lineups since Torts will change lines at will.

I completely disagree. I have seen progress with JDs game this season so far. He still makes a bone headed play at least once or twice a game, but he has also made some nice defensive plays and looks to be moving well.

Sorry to be right about him. Frost has a ton of skill but Frost seems unwilling to bear down and do what he needs to to become a top center in this league.

Not seeign much if any progress.

Every Dman makes some nice plays. So what. Nothing to hang your hat on.

JD has been more than fine the past handful of games. His play is coming around and this is a really dumb decision by the coach. As is frost scratching.

Where'd you see that Drysdale is out because of injury?

Frost is has been pretty much invisible lately. At this point I just don't think he and Torts can coexist. One of them has to go for the better of Frost's career.

Take out that 5-point game and Couturier has 3 points in 14 games.

What an amazing rise for Andrae. Not good enough to make the team. Not good enough to play on the WC trip. Now he is a top pair dman.

Have to give credit to the coaching staff for bringing him along slowly.

Flyers really only have one player that you can expect to generate points most nights. Outside of that they have a bunch of 3-4th line players. Some have potential to become more. Not a lot more though.

Wish we could fast forward this season a little.

Talk about terrible talent assessment by the team.

Just for context, many people call Cale Makar the Bobby Orr of our generation and for good reason. In his first 5 seasons Cale has scored 336 points and is a +108! However just for a fun comparison, Bobby Orr in his first 5 seasons with the Bruins scored 395 points is was a whopping +262! Crazy to even think about.

I saw it posted this morning that Drysdale is not in the lineup because of a minor injury. Well they used the term "dinged up" which for the Flyers might not mean minor.

JD is hurt, that is why he is not in the lineup.

If Briere can obtain Shane Wright, he would deserve a statue of himself in Philly

- xShoot4WarAmpsx

I often wondered if DB offered Cutter to Seattle for Wright before the Drysdale trade went down.

So far it looks like they may have been a better play. Jd has been playing a bit better but he’s still prone to bad giveaways tbh. Good that andrae is getting more ice time. Frost has struggled but so have many players.

I found it. Charlie O'Connor reported that Tort's said he's "dinged up".

I've been impressed by Andrea. He's on the shorter side, but doesn't play small. He doesn't get pushed around at all. I like that he'll throw a hip-check every once in a while. I haven't seen that around here since Gudas.

I just started rewatching the Sopranos. Everytime I think of Andrea now I hear Chrissy pronounce his first name Email.

I guess we'll know if Drysdale is really injured if he is at the lunch room today. Is he smiling? Laughing? If not more is going on and he isn't too injured to play.
