imagine he had to walk the entire length of the skywalk and then walk up 20 ramps to the 500 level to see a jays game lol.

guys the jays aren't selling out every game because the skywalk sucks. got nothing to do with baseball being #3 behind the leafs and raptors, it's the damn skywalk ruining things!

You are so triggered you don't understand the difference between generation and decade? YOU chose the 2-generation comment.

I have been talking a lot for the last 100 pages or so about the Sens glorious winning of the 28th pick... Oh, I think about it. It puts a smile on my face every day.

- Aetherial

Yes it is common pain avoidance technique. Sens fans say they went to the Eastern conference final. You say they failed in that they get the 28th pick. Imagine how happy you could make yourself feel if they were picking 30th.

I do and I make that drive several days a week in Rush hour.
I work in the East end and drive past the CTC.

on the most extreme days its an hour (weather etc), but not most of the time. 30-40 for me to get to CTC from Blair rd

- senstroll

My father in law and I had season tickets together ( he died a few years ago). He lived near Blair Rd and Ogilvie. I live south near Merrickville. We would leave the game at the same time and I would make it home well before he did and I have 3x the distance to go down the Dwyer Hill Rd.

There is no municipal transportation into the CTC. Putting the CTC at Lebreton is a no brainer.

From a pure marketing (demand) perspective, having only 17,500 tickets available on initial sale. If your paying $140 for a ticket your not happy to see overflow getting in for $25.

Taking seats out of the presale is really a strong move. Scalpers are at high risk. If they scoop up seats in the initial presale, they run the risk the Sens will put an extra 1500 tickets in play the week before McDavid and the Oilers come to town.

The major difference, is that in the GTA, and correct me if I'm wrong, the majority of fans use public transit to attend games at the ACC, as it's less expensive and more convenient, as the ACC is centrally located.

The CTC is located on western fringe of Ottawa, and it's more convenient to drive, as it's poorly served by public transit.

When the new Arena is built, and is centrally located and practically on the intersection of the two LRT lines.......... fans will use Public Transit not just for the convenience, but because there will be very little parking at the new Arena.

- D0PPELGANGER

This is a bunch of BS.

First of all the bottom line is Leafs have Loyal Fans - Across the country. Leaf games, regardless of the venue - could be Arizona, Florida, Detroit, Buffalo, Ottawa or San Jose - are better attended than any other in the League ---- PERIOD!

If the Leafs moved their arena to Kitchener, every game would sell out instantly as they currently do. Having a central location for a venue - is a pure bullsh!t excuse that you made up to hide the basic fact that Leafs fans are totally loyal and Sens fans are not.

Yes, there might be some more support for the Sens if they'd ever won the cup, but i don't think that's the main issue. They're just now seeing a generation of fans that group up with an NHL team in Ottawa get to a position where they're able to afford tickets, but these people likely come from families that cheered for the Leafs or Habs, and were treated to the early senators playoff runs ending at the hands of their western big brother. It may be another decade or two before there's a good herd of born and bred Ottawa fans that will be able to sell out their pint-sized stadium... and that's assuming there's an ownership change soon, so that the team can stop embarrassing itself.

Really!

Imagine how joyous you would be if they had defeated Nashville and had to pick 31st. Some of you guys are upside down when it comes to understanding success. You have been losing for so long you have tried to turn it into a victory lap. Entirely goofy.

Too funny. After 50 people stopped counting the Leafs epic fails. Losers are what losers do and nobody does that in better style than the leafs.

I wonder if we will see mass suicides, if, as I expect, the Leafs tank like Columbus did a few years ago when their rookies had played so well the previous year.

So good.

Same thing as you guys were saying last year at this time.

Now, you just into denial over the Sens hopes to improve on last year's semi final run.

Correct me if I am Wrong the Sens have been to the Eastern Conference final 3x in the last 20 years. The STanley Cup final once. The Leafs are 0.

Yes, I spent many years as a Leaf fan. I have known the depths of despair. My life changed for the better when I came out of the closet and began cheering for the Sens.

I agree, and with proper ownership comes professional management. Leafs market the team heavily, despite success. The ACC is sold out, but there are probably as many fans outside at ACC enjoying the game. Real Sports bar, restaurants and an exciting team, exactly what this blog was intended to resolve. There really is no comparison here between the two organizations. Perhaps Spatso and Dopes are jealous of the following:

Note most of these fans would gladly have paid the high price to get in, if the tickets would have been available to them.

They don't understand that when they call other teams fans names, use vulgarity etc ..............it's positive proof that they're frustrated by the fact that the Sens have been the better of the two Ontario teams, since the lockout 12 years ago.

They cannot logically debate otherwise, and they can't say anything positive about the Sens, because somehow that'll betray their team or something, so they insult Sens fans, mock them or whatever .................... it's like water off a duck back, and a waste of keystrokes ...............

If and when the roles are reversed, I guarantee you'll never see the same, low bar behavior from Senator fans.

You understand that people are now writing columns about Karlsson deniars. There are not many left. Most of them seem to reside in the GTA.

Most recent column I read said there are three dominant talents in the NHL, Crosby, McDavid and Karlsson. Deal with it.

- spatso

You understand that, once again, you missed the entire point.

I don't know how I can be much more clear in my opinion of Karlsson.

I was asked to find some stats. I did. They aren't wrong, they don't lack common sense. You guys just don't like them. You're triggered. It's your problem.
