Don’t know if anyone is paying attention to what’s going on in England. Wow scary. Most of this board would be in prison lol. |

Deal with it. I don’t have a facebook acct by the way. Hockey is irrelevant when you can get thrown in jail for an online post that someone doesn’t like.
Don’t think that can’t happen here. |

Well we are trending that way. When it starts happening it’s already too late. I’m talking about people being arrested for speech. Perceived racist or violence provoking speech gets you thrown in prison. |

Imagine a world if you said something about Torts and the Flyers didn’t like it. Then you get a knock on your door.
Now you get to wear era orange for 18 months! |

It’s simply about power.
Those clamouring for this new world, will realize their mistake when they are on their own knees.

Most know but for those who do not, I am black. I do have some mixed culture on my mother’s side but I look black and there for identity as such, especially living and working very close to a black community here in Michigan. I think it’s very clear that most, if not all on this board cannot relate and sometimes don’t even care when I call out racism. Each time hello it’s me calls me Lamont or questions my “white side” because he assumes my mother is white, he’s being racist. You don’t have to like me but when anyone turns a blind eye to his comments, you are condoning it. You’re giving him the OK strictly based on how you feel about me. When I call him out or anyone else out, I’m not using my “black card”. It isn’t a card. It’s calling a racist being racist. If you’ve walked in my shoes, you’d understand. I think it’s safe to say most of you haven’t. So don’t attack my ethnicity and let’s keep it about hockey. |

If you’re spreading racist rhetoric and misinformation that, in turn, incites violence, what difference does it make that it was an online post?
A bunch of shows near me got cancelled because some loony on Facebook said he was going to shoot the place up. But it’s just an online post, right? Should he be held accountable? Or is that outrageous just because I didn’t like it?
let me see if I understand. Maybe I don’t? Some guy stabbed and killed a bunch of young girls, he was incorrectly labeled as Muslim by some far-right d!ckheads and mosques got bombed and set on fire?
that’s your definition of free speech? Genuinely asking.
Being tolerant of intolerance is a wild (frank)ing idea that you seem to be clinging on to. |

Shut up, and obey the new power dynamic.
Otherwise you are racist, or spreading disinformation.
Nobody buys it, but good luck. Brainwashed fool |

I workout with a guy who happens to be black. Hw lost his 40 y/o wife to cancer leaving him alone with kids 14 and 9. Then he made a decision based on his research and beliefs to not be forced into taking a risky jab and lost his job. It’s ironic that a dementia riddled white boy you probably voted for was behind it all. Then he lost his house. Then his kids Siberian Husky dogs of 12 years both died a weak apart. He never complained and he doesn’t get anything from government. He’s a man.

Nahh you are allowed, just as long as it’s one sided.
That’s the point, and that’s why you see the reactions that you do.
Anyway, no point arguing with fools. |

I hope that whoever is openly that way to you, gets their mind right.
Sometimes if people just realized that we have more in common with each other, feel it would be easier to have a beer/laugh with one another.
Take it easy out there. |

You’re right. When are people going to start thinking about those poor white people? I hope they don’t set fire to The Gap! Sounds like you pine for the days where you could talk like your old grand pappy

Exhibit A.
You’ve done a wonderful job proving my point with that comment.
Trying to shame people into silence is a strategy that doesn’t really work anymore.
It’s not about being nice, it’s just about power. Brave enough to admit that? |

Can you admit white people have it pretty good? They aren’t being disproportionately murdered by cops.
We all watched George Floyd get murdered and people rioted. Your boy Kyle rittenhouse was responsible for two deaths after he treked to the protests just praying he gets a chance to shoot people. He got off pretty easy, eh?
Meanwhile the uk is terrorizing Muslims because of some right wing propaganda that has brainwashed that side of the aisle and turned out wasn’t even correct? Folks setting up Facebook groups and a call to arms to go after white people and burn their churches because some lefty wrongly identified some horrible killer as white probably wouldn’t go over too well with you, right? That sh!t is not free speech. It’s hate speech.
Do you like comedians that feel like they can’t say anything these days?
Maybe as a white person you feel picked on but in reality (not twitter) it’s just not the same.
You don’t have to carry around white guilt, but acknowledging the painfully obvious differences in our experiences isn’t a bad thing. You don’t have to be guilty by association if you don’t want to be. Just do better. |

I don’t need people to be arrested for speaking in ignorance. Ignorance isn’t a crime. I just need people to stand up and by what they say they believe in. If you see that scumbag call me Lamont and you consider yourself a good person, I’m not the only one who should have a reaction to this. |

Again, do think similarities are more important than differences.
But you’ve thrown around nearly every vogue catch line, or example you could here. You’re brainwashed to be a useful idiot.
Let me teach you something. Those in power aren’t looking out for you. They have found a way to motivate you into being on their side of the mob. Nothing more. |

The difference is I want to acknowledge the differences in order to do better. You want to ignore them as if they don’t exist. |
