Panthers' ownership at the time didn't want to invest any money into the organization. They traded away any talent they had for questionable prospects or has been aging players.

I am at a personal conflict crossroads here folks. Tomorrow, Nick Cousins brings the cup to a (somewhat) close location and the wife wants us to go. I am torn because a) its Nick Cousins who wont even be a cat anymore and b) the cup has come to my hometown a few times before so its nothing new really. Also I live less than 130 kilometres from the Hall Of Fame so we can go there to see it almost whenever. Wifey thinks we should go because its the Cats first and possibly only cup but its 3-4 hours standing in line for a picture with the cup. Do I really care that much?

Well I went. It was ok. Too much waiting but if you wanted to beat the lines had to go early. I would say that in my opinion he appeared to be there as a PR thing against his will but I could be wrong about that. Also further back in the line I seen someone quite obviously there to stir the pot wearing a McDavid jersey
