My guess is Tocc wants Miller and Boeser together.

Bill, why are they not playing Michkov on the right side? Majority of his points in the pre season all came from that side of the ice in the offensive zone

My guess is Tocc wants Miller and Boeser together.

Flyers should have a field day against that top line, Sprong is very bad defensively. Lots of puck watching and very poor decisions with the puck. Has all the tools offensively but has never been able to earn his coaches trust

Line balance. Boeser has the most ES ice time out of any forward in game 1.

Cates will be fine. They probably will cycle guys, if not im sure Jett wont be here for more than 9 games

Oh, he's itching to get "Catesy" back in the lineup... at either Luchanko or Frost's expense. Tortorella said during back that Cates is a better center than winger. It isn't actually true but that's where Tortorella has always preferred to play him.

That means Torts will run his 4th line out against them:-). Luckily, Tocchet has last line change so it might work in our favor...

Seems RP coming out is not an option.

Any insight why they haven’t traded Frost at this point? Is it lack of interest? Just seems like both parties have an odd relationship.

Seeler suffering two injuries since signing his four year extension was very predictable. It's a lot of term for a 30-something #5 dman whose main skill is getting hit by the puck. I wonder if he manages to play more than the 176 games Grossman played on his 4-year contract before he was dumped in Arizona.

Just funny to me how Torts seems to pick a new golden boy every season and the old ones end up forgotten at the bottom of the heap.

Cates going from can't do anything wrong 1C to completely out of the lineup 24-mos later is wild. And Poehls is back to being a L4'er.

That's because Tortorella is a defensive coach and will always cater to defense. It's just more ineptitude. Similar to his epiphany of pondering over the Summer that the Flyers need to score more dirty goals. It took a coach of his experience level to have to think about it over the Summer. What tools might be at a coaches disposal that would give him that information in real time? Same tools that would tell him that Cates is a better winger than center. The game has passed him by.

Even if he wants to keep Cates at center, he's still better than Poehling.
