Based on the way we’ve been playing I was prepared for the worst…
However that was our best game in quite a while and against a quality opponent like the Rangers I am encouraged…
Once we figure out why Mason McTavish has his head in his ass we will be better…
Dostal / Leo / Mintyukov & Zellweger along with some others are gonna be the backbone of the team for a while, but those 4 especially are the future…
Esp Minty & Zellweger on the backend 😍😍😍😍 |

My concern with Zibs confidence is how so you get it back for him? He's still in the top line. He still has CK20, his best friend, every shift. Smith looks fine in their wing, yet here we are? I doubt the whole "djing all summer" argument is real. Maybe the new dad thing is a bit?
I guess what I'm trying to say is he has to dig deep. Make your own puck luck. Because he has every opportunity to do so. The team hasn't held him back, he's got to find that extra gear and be that true #1 center with the contract he signed. |

Bobd62 We all need a rest from you! You should go to twitter with your butt buddy. Zib will figure it out maybe he misses his first child when he’s on the road! Who the (frank) are you to question him as a father do EVERYONE a favor GTFO!
Who are you? IDGAF what you think I should do. You and your homophobic insults dont bother me. I am one of a million fans who support this team which in turn pays Zibby 8.5 million dollar a year contract. We want to win a Cup and if Zibby is homesick and cant live up to his contract he should retire and continue as a DJ.
If you dont like my comments, (frank) you I dont care. |

Ok I’m going to say ONE more thing about zib because I just remembered it and I was cracking up at the time. There was a play where he wound up to dump the puck in right outside the blue line and then instead passed it and it was turned over. |

He’s not playing his best and hasn’t for a while, yet he faces zero consequences. Why not swap him and Fil for a shift (despite how good the 3rd line is). Send him out with PP2. He shouldn’t be exempt from being sent a message, it’s well overdue IMO.

Im sorry Jamie if some of us want our players to play up to their contracts, not just float around looking disengaged.
Yeah 6-1-1 is nice but a small sample size. The season should be broken down to 20 game blocks, not 8, but lets look at those 8 games, 5 of the wins were against non playoff teams last year and the one win was against the Leafs. So be it as it may, nothing here to drop a load on. |

We’re 2-6. Zib has a 5 on 5 goal in only two games. Really 1-7 since one was an eng |

TJ, we all know that you watch most games you have no pants on, sitting in the living room with the blinds/curtains wide open and with a notepad, jotting down trade ideas. You sick, dedicated Ranger fan. |

It's still 6-1-1 and their play overall has been better, Doesn't mean we ignore areas of need or possible weakness, but that also doesn't mean all that has been going well should just be dismissed because the opponents may not have been the elite of the league. |

5v5 offense has been awesome and 5v5 defense has been average. Tighten it up even a little defensively and the sky’s the limit. Get the pp going? To the moon. |

My perspective is calculating net outcomes in the current. Where the positives are balanced with the "negatives" or "needing to work on areas". There are numerous positives in comparison to last year.
Positives: Increased 5v5 offense, overall scoring through the lineup, balance style of play with having the right personnel especially on the 3rd and 4th lines, young guys ready to make the jump.
Areas of need: consistency on defense, Zib needing to find his mojo/swagger again, not reverting to old habits when facing top teams (Florida game).
I would say a net positive, at this very moment. So far, yesteryear issues are just that, in the past. |

I have a solution for the powerplay. I doubt they will ever do it though lol. |
