The best 70 goal scorer to never score 30.
Some fans weren't content with saying 50 the last 2 years, so now it's been upped to 70. - GreatGigInTheSky
i mean they dont say in a single season. so over 3 seasons? sure

first let's see if he can stay healthy, he could barely shoot last season for the first half after his shoulder surgery. kid has a great shot and knows where to go to get the puck and score but can he stay healthy...at 5'8"ish and something like 170... |

who knows, I think he should be good for 35-40g/yr but for that he has to stay healthy.
and we have NO idea how good Demigod will be, let's give the kid a chance to come over to NA and show he can perform at the NHL level on smaller ice in a more physical style of play. Good thing is he should be coming over next summer so the wait is not too long |

I think he's gonna be stupid good.
Twitter keeps pushing Habs tweets on me without my consent, so I see a lot of people talking about how there's a chance he could come over for next season? Or are they just being way too hopeful? |

I like the Byfield deal for the Kings. he should out preform that contract, like Willy did. (his 6.9 aav)
some might complain its too much... but LA should easily get a lot of value out of it |

He draws a lot of similarities to Michkov - but I think Michkov has a better shot and has demonstrated success playing against men. I think Demidov might be more of a playmaker.
From the things I had read the biggest knock on either player is that while they are not that big, neither is a particularly great skater. This might limit his 5v5 effectiveness - but if you have guys like Slafkovsky and Caufield out there, an excellent setup guy with multiple options should be able to make some good things happen.

I mean Willy was at 8.7% of the cap and Byfield is at 7%, so there's more room for him to perform.
I've been pretty down on Byfield - he was so highly touted as a prospect and didn't really show at the World Juniors - not how you'd expect a #2 overall guy to - and we saw him in the Juniors Superseries and he was basically invisible. That said, if I recall - and it's been a while - Serron Noel (edit: Just for posterity, it was Aidan Dudas - who similarly didn't amount to anything!), who never amounted to anything, was probably the most visible player in that game.
It's good that he's finally showing what everyone saw him him, but I'd like to see it a second time before I believe in him. Dubois, for instance, had faster and more success - and I can't stand the guy. If Byfield can be consistent and a positive influence on the game around him, I think you're absolutely right that he has the size and tools to make that contract look like a steal. |

Oh it's an excellent contract. Odds are he's a bargain sooner than later imho.

I think Michkov will be better, but I think Demidov could be close behind him. Also, nickname of DemiGod is pretty awesome. Or DemiDog as a combo of Stranger Things and saying he's "got that dog in him".
I'm just glad the Habs didn't get both of them. |

I wanted Michkov last year but I don't hate the idea of balancing the lineup with a stud RHD and a stud winger instead of two stud wingers.
That's obviously presuming all of these guys pan out as hoped when they were drafted.
