Eklund: Donato Could be an "Early Rental" (E4)

I watch a lot of hockey. Donato rarely played center. He's one of the worst face-off guys in the NHL, with percentages barely above 40%. When injuries piled up the Hawks had no other choice, but Donato got caved in at center. Same story in Seattle. Hardly ever played center.

Also not seeing how Boston has the cap space when they have to finalize the Swayman contract. Dallas also could be tight depending what they do with Harley.

I've also wondered why Ek doesn't fill in until a writer is hired? Rumours that are E3 or E4 status mean that he has spoken to team sources. Like if Donato to Dallas is an E4, then spend a few more minutes with the Dallas source to gather more info and publish a team update. Here is what I'm hearing on Harley, still no indication from Benn if he intends to resign, Oettinger may be looking to see what Swayman does, etc...Wouldn't be that hard since you already have a team source on the line.

I don't think it would be worth his time. I think he has this site as a hobby more than a business venture.

Wow. We are already talking about 10 goal scorer Ryan Donato sweeps. Not good enough to play on the top three lines, but dors not offer anything on the 4th. Classic AHLer. There is a reason he plays for the rotten Blackhawks.
