Pending Tampa Bay sale. Penguins sold a couple seasons ago, I didn’t put in the parenthesis by TB. Will make the correction

I wonder how it sits with Wings management, most from that era, that current Wings players would even consider hiring Lemieux as their agent. With Drapes in management, much of the scouting staff and GM from that era, I bet that doesn't exactly sit well with them. Plus, Lemieux re-arranged Draper's face, while McCarty made sure Lemieux remembered as a coward to many fans, so there may be animosity on both sides. Lemieux will get paid no matter what happens, so it probably wouldn't hurt his feelings if his clients forced a trade or hurt the long-term cap situation for the team he hates.

To be fair, Seider and most of the draft kids have someone in place even before the eyre supposed to. We all remember the events but Seider hadn’t been born yet and grew up in Germany. Mccarty and Lemieux were doing signings side by side and seem to get along well. Draper still not happy with it but Dmac made a lot of money at those autograph tables. Horrible event , awful to see but it’s not as potent for these kids. Some don’t learn about it until they get here and see the video.

R.I.P. to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Horrible situation. I’m sure the league will do something in season but a nightmare for two guys way too young.

The Gaudreaus were riding bikes on Country Route 551 in Oldmans - which is like farmland, so not much in the way of lighting or room beyond the road - on the side of the road. A Jeep was behind a sedan and a SUV. The Jeep passed the sedan but the SUV moved to the middle of the road since they saw the bikers. The Jeep then decided to pass the SUV on the right and hit the bikers from behind. The deaths were from the injuries from the hit. The driver was found under the influence of alcohol and has been charged with two counts of death by automobile."

I think this supercedes whether someone is a “good or bad” person. It’s a horrible scenario where a player was just about to play for his hometown and out for a bike ride. It puts the sport back in perspective and you focus on the more serious part of life i.e. life itself. Yes, we are all going to pass, this was a maliciously stupid act that didn’t need to happen. It is sad, and should be, regardless of how the person who was the victim in this is perceived. Opinion of course. I was also upset at Bob Probert’s passing. I know he did a lot of things that didn’t help his heart, but that didn’t make it less sad.
