Welp, now I feel bad for him. Need something positive to happen for him. Shut your brain off and go out and play. Take the shot from the hash on the PP EVERY TIME. In fact, shoot on every 2 on 1 too. Don’t be afraid to dump and chase, stop making extra moves in your own zone. SIMPLE!! |

Zibb will be fine. Historically, he's never been a fast starter to a season. With that said, though, he's never been this slow out of the gate either. It will take one game to get him going. When is that game...hope it's tonight.
Glad they sent Mancinni down so the kid can play. No idea why Lindgren is still in the lineup though. He's done nothing to deserve a spot in the lineup. Let him sit until the fishbowl gets removed. Is he still sucks after that, then time to cut ties with him. Mancinni has played far better and will be a mainstay on this team when a spot opens up.
I'm torn on Miller. He's just not doing anything offensively nor defensively so far...and it's a contract year. No way I am giving him a raise to over $4M per with his performance over the past few seasons. May need to cut ties here, as well. |

The fact that kreider has 8 goals (3 at EV) and ZERO assists is maddening. I can’t wrap my head around the numbers. It’s wild how ineffective they’ve been at even strength while still being able to put up somewhat normal looking point totals from PP and PK. |

Tough call...I don't know much about either other than Matheson is more of an offensive Dman than anything. Cap hits are about the same...a bit more would hit NYR and I don't think they can have that. |

We have over a mil in cal space. We’d fit it with plenty of room to spare. The odds of replacing 2/3 of our LD are basically 0 but a fork can dream
Separately, has everyone placed their “Barclay Goodrow anytime goal scorer” bet for tonight? |

Miller seriously needs to stay on his feet when defending. He takes himself completely out of the play when he lays down like he loves to do. He did it once on the 2nd goal on the PK the other night (he may have fell here I don't remember but he was on the ice) and even more egregiously on the 5th goal where he slides into the corner and Namestnikov was able to easily grab the puck from below the goal line and tuck it in because Miller was nowhere to be found.
I've been a defender of Miller for a while now because the raw talent is there, but he is in desperate need of a video coach IMO that can sit him down and help him fix these metal mistakes he makes multiple times a game |

Either he or Wennberg will net one. It always happens. It's the Bret Howden curse. |

Given the awkwardness surrounding goodrow’s exit and the fact that he never scores im betting on him |

I am a big proponent of moving both. Lindgren is not back next year so get something that fits what the team needs. Miller is not worth his extension money. Move him. Trouba is gone after the summer so more cap will be available to retool

I read a few places (not an obsession lol) that Provorov will PROBABLY get traded. That’s the move imo. He’s more defensive and more of a “man” than Miller could ever dream of being, and you could definitely justify giving him 5-6 million over Miller on a new contract
Miller for Provorov easy peasy
Lindgren I don’t think is going anywhere, Jmo. The Rangers org loves him whether people like it or not |

There is a 99% chance this is Lindgren last year as a ranger IMO. Drury isn’t signing him to a deal in the 5 million range per year |

Think I’d rather Ruhwedel in the lineup over Miller (or Lindgren TBH) at this point. He would at least focus on defense and be proficient in one end of the ice. |

Maybe the next time we face Hellebuyck or Vasi or Bob they can put in Harpur? Scoring problem solved. |

Idk man.
I think the org appreciates him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more then the fans do
If anything, Millers regression makes it more likely Lindgren is staying |

Just thinking back to last year, the D corp is definitely not as good as we probably anticipated it would 3-4 years ago.
Miller specifically should be a force by now based on what we hoped for |

Drury is not paying Lindgren $5M a season. No way.
I get what you are saying, but he's regressed so badly over the past two seasons it'll be tough for any team to take him at that salary. |

Miller too tho. Thats what I mean. If they let Trouba, Lindgren and miller all go, who the hell is playing defense for them
This is ultimately why they cannot possibly not sign Shesty to what ever he wants. He’ll mask the d issues for the next 8 years |

Trouba can stay, if anything. Otherwise, nearly $16M in cap space from all three gone can get you two Dmen easily with tons to spare. Mancini will replace one. Chad can be the extra, if he comes back. Maybe Emery surprises and make the jump. Realistically, getting two dmen in free agency will not be a huge issue. |

They really need 2 of Mancini, emery and fortesque to be good NHLers. Idk how the two prospects are doing their development tho |

The Rangers could have signed him long term this summer and gave him a one year contract, Im pretty sure he is a goner. |

I think the idea was to keep themselves open cap wise with options. With Miller and Lindgren almost a like a competition on who gets the long term deal. And ironically both guys may not deserve the years, which really puts them in a picklerick
Lindgren has blood guts grit and heart on his side tho, which gives him the upper hand in what I’m saying imo (in Drurys mind). Miller has potential which he has not reached by a long shot |
