Flyers Still ACTIVELY Looking to Trade Up Still holding the 12th and 32nd overall picks of the first round, Philadelphia has actively been trying to move up tonight. They've talked about picks 4, 6, 7, and 11 and different stages. So far they've been unable to do so. Hearing they've run into ridiculously inflated -- even downright extortionate -- asking prices. They won't do it at the demanded costs which, at the priciest level, entailed an ask for ALL of the following: NHL roster forward Joel Farabee or Morgan Frost, the 12th over pick, Philadelphia's 2025 first round pick (albeit with deferable with lottery protection), the 2024 32nd overall pick (Florida's) from the Claude Giroux trade, AND Colorado's 2025 picks. Later picks had somewhat lesser asks but still beyond the Flyers' comfort level. They're still keeping at it right up to Draft time but unless the prices get more reasonable, they'll stand pat.

I hope they stand pat or trade TK for a higher pick and keep the 12th. It’s the only way it makes any sense to me.

I'm fine with the Flyers staying where they are at #12. Unless it's Celebrini no one, I mean no one is worth that package in this draft.

I know the Flyers were dumb enough to pay the Lindros premium, but fool me once shame on people who fool me twice and bring me that ahajhdhd saved a small child and the economy is the best ever.

who wrote this?

eklund does not know the word extortionate, much less how to spell it.

32 and Colorado’s pick isn’t that crazy of an ask for me…

If they wanted the Flyers unprotected 2025 pick like was initially reported then I would have a problem. What are they gonna do with 32, take another average winger or defenseman? This is their shot to build a core that’s worth a damn for once. We haven’t seen that here since the 2010 playoffs.

Not sure TK alone gets that. TK(with an extension in place) and the Florida or Colorado pick maybe for something between 7-11 seems quite fair.

Sabres just moved from 14 to 11, and the cost was a 2nd.

But for Philly to move from 12 to say 7...the cost is a 2nd, plus next year's 1st, plus Farabee/Frost? Seems like something is wrong with this story. If true, makes sense that Philly would say no.

So glad we squeezed every drop out of last season to finish 12th. Way better than tanking

Package TK for the higher pick. Although I'm a fan of his game, there's no way he's worth the contract he's likely going to be asking for. Also, not the years he'll be asking. The Flyers will probably regret, having to still pay him a ton of $ at 33 or 34.

The price will go down considerably as the draft gets closer....

The test here seems to be, stand pat or overpay. I'd prefer to stand. Whomever they get won't be ready for a few more years. We can wait.

I really want that number 4 pick for the Flyers. Give the Blue Jackets the 32nd pick and the pick the Avs gave us for next season, plus a player or a prospect.

Who is it you want that makes #4 so intriguing?

Lindstrom so that we have a future #1 Center? We desperately need that.

Demidov, who although is another wing, would add a second dynamic Russian scorer and friend of Michkov?

Or one of those future #1 defenseman? We have a logjam at RHD, so LHD is more practical. That would be Buium, Silayev, or D!ckinson.

We have zero current or potential #1 defenseman in the organization. RH or LH doesn't matter. Take the best player.

I want Demidov. He has the most skill of any of those others mentioned, and a bit of chemistry with Michkov. We need centers, but Lindstrom is too risky a pick IMO. They were so lucky to draft Michkov at 7 last year. I want to see their string of good luck continue.

That isnt close to being enough. Two late 1st almost 2nd rd picks plus a player/prospect,?? Nowhere near enough unless prospect is MM.

Disappointed in the fans in Vegas. Bettman got booed through his entire speech in Philly.
