Well Ek, you got the compensation wrong. Blues would owe a 2nd to EDM as compensation for Broberg and a 3rd as compensation for Holloway. |

And it’s a 2nd rounder for Broberg and a 3rd for Holloway.
Great move! Let’s see what Stan does. |

I love how terrible your article is...
It's not on the Oilers to release how much they were signed for. It would be the Blues that tendered the sheets.
Also, the compensation you quoted for both was in the wrong brackets.
But hey keep doing you Ek |

Offer sheets mean nothing if the players don't accept and go with the offer the Oilers have tendered. a plyer like Holloway would be stupid to go to St Louis for a hundred thousand more a year. When you can play with the Oilers and win the cup. There may be payback to St Louis that they don't like in the future. |

I don't see how Edmonton matches Broberg. This is where the Nurse contract really comes back to haunt them, |

I never thought I’d see the day where a team offer sheets their own players. Wow |

Announcing that the offers have been tendered and that Edmonton has 7 days to match means that the players have signed the sheets. |

Nice play by Armstrong…. Little Scotty will match and then deal someone good to make up for it. I would match and if it affects Draisaitl negotiations you trade Broberg for more than a 2nd . Pretty easy to avoid this. |

What do the oilers do? They’d have to have a huge LTIR event to get one of the PB and DH contracts to fit, but probably pie in the sky to think you could make both fit.
Who gets traded to make room? |

Didn't St. Loius tender the offer sheets?
Why would Edmonton offer sheet their own players?
What a disgusting organization. - Marwood

They can't trade Broberg for a year after matching the offer.

players have to agree to the offer sheet before its sent. also how does ek know the blues did not try to trade for these players? |
|
|
|
So.
Is Swayman the next offer sheet?
9,100,000 offer for 5 years?
Compensation a 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Step right up Detroit Redwings.
Cap space.

savvy GM...who's a bit of a dooche.

I believe the team matching the offer sheet is not subject to that.
Edit: I'm incorrect on that. Doesn't make sense to me but that's the rule. |

Kane is likely to start the season on LTIR. Meaning no team is trading for him without a sweetener. That might have been the case even without LTIR. I'd expect Bowman to let Broberg leave for STL. |

You do realize once the offer sheet is tendered that means the players signed the contract for the deal, right?
A tendered offer doesn't mean "I'm gonna do it".

The contracts were signed.
It is a done deal.
The only question that remains is whether they play for the Blues or Oilers, depending on if the Oilers chose to match either/both contract or not.
