The 2004-25 lockout was the hardest 21 years I've had as a hockey fan

It is more circumstantial than the "lower body" day-to-day pronouncement.

A player who has had a hip/sports hernia or knee surgery with that pronouncement is much more worrying than a rookie in the early days of his first training camp.

In other cases, for some players, ANY injury update is worrying.

I think also a lot of fans want to see their shiny new top prospects be able to play in rookie camp/main camp/preseason and see how they do and an injury means they don't have that opportunity. It's just a bummer when someone like Iginla misses some or all of those things because of injury

I think the prevalence of sports gambling makes solid reliable injury disclosure a MUST. Such as it is in the NFL. They can't fool around with that crap. Maybe there aren't as many people betting on the NHL but money is money and I can't see the NHL not getting pressure from Vegas, and the rest of these legal sports books about forcing their teams to be more forthright with their disclosures.

Like. You can't say for instance, in a post game interview that you knew you were starting for Christian McCaffery on Friday when Mc'Calf'ery was listed as questionable or starting on Saturday and Sunday morning when people were still making their wagers.

As a Flyers fan living in Arizona, that would be wonderful news

What the heck: Will Michkov get flyers out of the nomansland existence? What the heck: No! The sum of all their spare parts will not change their fate. Comcast Spectacor won't commit to a full and real rebuild. They hate red ink in their budgets.

I understand the upper body/lower body thing. Its for the safety of the players. Otherwise opposing players would be targeting the specific injury on ever shift.

As for being too careful with routine injuries. Missing on a high pick can make or break a franchise. (See Patrick, Nolan) So teams are going to be extra careful and fans are going to be extra fretful every time something happens. If Michkov gets hurt at tomorrow rookie game, especially by some Ranger goon looking to make a name for himself, Flyers fans will be committing mass suicide. So yeah, its serious stuff.

any thoughts on getting a sabres blogger who can show up 1 or 2 times a week?

this was never an issue when I joined this site nor the following 15 years but for some reason has been an issue for well over a year

thanks in advance for your response

Hockey players, from mites to the Show are generally a LOT tougher than their other 4 sport peers. So they’re likely always playing through a bit of something. And that bit of something they can play through, being then publicly known, is always only a Matt Cooke moment away from becoming something that shelves them. For this reason I am fine with the policy.
Plus it keeps the media busy. And me knowing won’t get anyone back on the ice faster anyway.

Ads are understood, ads that popup cover up the screen while you are attempting to type something are not, nor are the screen updates that close the keyboard. Do you plan on ever fixing that issue?

Do your refs/mods get held to any accountability? Some ban people for voicing their opinion on a team in a reasonable manor, then go into the next board and it's free reign for trolling the team and fans of that team. Why are all blog forums not held to the same level of accountability?
