Another Michkov point - roenick97
He would have been a league leader with 2 lethal goal scorers on his line |

Torts has this team trending in the right direction. The Triumvirate is surely pulling this together for the fans right now. Relax folks…

Like you. I watch this team very closely and I think there might be something to this. Once they started whipping coots and embarrassing him their play went south. - Hextall271
Coots may be quiet, but I'm sure he has his circle that he complains too or others see it.
If you don't play him, just like Frost, of course they won't produce. Coots may be slower, but with his cap hit, his captain role and his past production he deserves a chance to play with the other top players.
People can say they don't owe him anything, but he has at least earned his chance, unlike others.

He would have been a league leader with 2 lethal goal scorers on his line - THE EVIL WITHIN
I know it’s not popular to say but I do think he may end up being the second best player from that draft. He seems like he’s got great skill and hockey sense. Only reason I’m watching this train wreck |

Smart move is to play Couturier 20 a night. If he can’t handle it and breaks down. Then you get some cap relief. |

I agree, you work him...it's Couturier's responsibility to perform and show up, but far as I am concerned Torts is not giving him that chance by moving everyone around constantly.
Update: What's the worse that could happen playing Coots...they lose? |

Down by 4...I only want Michkov to get those points. It will keep him interested for that payday until the Flyers can luck into some more talent. - Glak18
The only thing that I differ with from the daily, hourly complaining of this board is that this team will never be good again. I’m sure they’ll get good again, but whether they contend like the Red Wings, Penguins, Black Hawks or Lightning dynasties is a totally different argument. Building “a culture” is the wrong slogan to sell. In interviews, it sounds like they’re trying to bring back something. Well bring back is past tense. We don’t need what was. We need to know that this team can keep up with today and get better.
There is a big part of me that still wishes Ivan Provorov was still here to disappoint us because even on the nights when he was disappointing us, he was still much better than what we have now on the back end. |

Yeah that really should be the Flyers mindset and selling point..."we are not the Flyers of the past, Flying to a new era" and actually do it.
As for Provorov, he was just as much as the problem when he was here and I don't see him better than Sanheim or York. Then add in the return they got for him...no brainer.

I agree. Play him and he either gets back in shape and gets his game back or he can’t handle it. Torts just Richards all his players aroud and he shouldn’t. |
