Well Luchanko will draw back in so is Coots back on 4th line winger duty? Foerster as well i would assume so who is out there? Do they sit Cates and Brink? Maybe Zamula sits for EJ?
I feel it is just shuffling the deck chairs but Feds is going to need to have his best game of the season to keep this from being a disaster. |

Once again someone brought up Torts win record so I wanted to continue this conversation.
https://records.nhl.com/r...ns/coach-most-wins-career
I would like to point out that Torts may be 9th on the all-time win list but he is 4th on the all-time loss list despite coaching 200-300 less games than those above him. Anybody who coaches for as long as Torts has will be on that list. He's coached the 8th most games in league history and is 9th on the list, not quite as impressive once you put it in context.
You have to be careful with those longevity stats, sometimes they are just the product of staying employed. As Chuck proves, you don't have to be great to keep getting jobs in the NHL.
As much as Torts spars with the media he's always a good story and the media loves him for it. Hell last night as we were complaining about Torts roster decisions and endless lineups, PK Subban and the rest of the intermission crew were making him sound like Scottie Bowman. |

Torts needs to stop coaching like he is down 3 games to 1 in the Stanley Cup final. |

Well, since I am a big proponent of "winning breeds culture", we shall see how much longer that lasts.

And players will only put up with a coach being a Richard if they are winning as winning covers alot of warts. Even winning isn't enough to put with the coach being an bumhole eventually. Tom Brady is proof of that.
"But I wasn't going to sign another contract [in New England] even if I wanted to play until [I was] 50. Based on how things had gone, I wasn't going to sign up for more of it."
And so died the Patriot way which at the core was really just two specific people tolerating each other. |

Zamula did produce on PP2 last season, but I think Sanheim or York would be a safer option at the moment. But Zamula also led the team in ES TOI last night despite his struggles. Hard to work out what's going on there.
On the positive side, the whole team is healthy now. Not including Ellis and Johansen, of course. |

While I believe that a good culture can help a team. The team has to start producing.
Maybe DB gets 2 more years to prove something.
With the 6 first round picks and the 27 million potentially coming off the books by then, he might be able to do something.
Egor and Kolosov could be the goalie tandem by then

Love TB12 and The Hoodie. If they weren’t in football they would either be a serial killer or a CEO.
Just win, baby. This foolish nonsense of culture and doing things the right way have gone the way of the dodo long ago.
I thought we’d simply have to wait out until certain old Flyers shuffled off this mortal coil for them to figure it out but scarily enough they managed to spread like a virus to the next generation!
And now clueless Dan of the people Hilferty has put his faith and trust into a complete clown like Tortorella. Also hiring a weakling like coGM DB and here we are.
There really isn’t a worse spot the Flyers could be in. They are in complete hockey hell.

Yet the front office and fanbase were aiming for the playoffs. - Tomahawk The Pres GM Coach all stated they are rebuilding and making the playoffs is not a criteria they would use for success. Most fans think the playoffs was a reach this season as well. Are you referring to fans on Uranus?

On HB maybe.
Elsewhere the talk was all about how they were this 🤏 close to making it and Michkov (and Luchanko) would put them over the top.

Not familiar with the Flyers long record of lying? Head Clown Keith Jones was jizzing in his pants last season when they were still in a playoff spot in February. Of course, it all went downhill from there.

If DB is here 2 more years he will have outlasted Fletcher and Hextall. DB has been signing 8 year contracts as fast as the money opens up, signing multiple players already. What makes you think he won't sign Drysdale and others to 8 year contracts before then let alone make prudent FA decisions? |

Thankfully Drysdale has another year left after this one so there's no rush there. Cam York might be the next 8 year deal, or Foerster. Frost is probably playing his last season here, and Cates surely won't get term when he's been used as the 13th forward.

His SuperBowl win in Tampa might Fly in the face of that opinion. Belichicks record without Brady is 83-101 . |

He only gave out two 8 year deals. 5-8 years seems to be the theme for the players on lines 1 and 2 that received new contracts |
