The Stamkod Hedman commercial cracks me up. Totally dissing Vik for not having his baby on skates.

I know it’s not popular to say but I do think he may end up being the second best player from that draft. He seems like he’s got great skill and hockey sense. Only reason I’m watching this train wreck

Michkov at times just takes over games- rookies should not be able to do that.

Yeah that really should be the Flyers mindset and selling point..."we are not the Flyers of the past, Flying to a new era" and actually do it.

As for Provorov, he was just as much as the problem when he was here and I don't see him better than Sanheim or York. Then add in the return they got for him...no brainer.

- Glak18

Sanheim and York have each other. Provorov was hung out to dry with guys who had no business being on the top pair with him.

They won’t.

There’s no one other than mm that I wouldn’t trade for more picks. I just pray that for once we can hit on the picks we have.

I agree. Play him and he either gets back in shape and gets his game back or he can’t handle it. Torts just Richards all his players aroud and he shouldn’t.
- Hextall271

I feel like the media needs to push Torts more for answers...what exactly is he seeing that he doesn't like?

Not tickling enough balls when battling? It's clearly not just giveaways or a bad play because I've seen his favorites do it and nothing.

Really need to have hockey players around this kid instead of Ryan Poehling. He creates in the flow of the game. He’s not a puck dominant guy he’s got to have people to work with . Torts is as dumb as a rock

To many said he was already before the draft...now he's just proving it on the ice. Talent no question, arrival uncertain. That was it.

Michkov doesn't look fast, but he just makes the plays others don't.

He says stuff like I’m not getting the white board out in his pressers. He just brushes it off like the know it all he is, won’t explain anything

How's Provy doing in Columbus playing with Werenski?

That’s part of what I see. His favourites get free reign. His whipping boys have no margin for error.

They need to push harder and if he has a crybaby meltdown then so be it. At least the players can laugh about his reaction.

It is pretty funny the Flyers are paying 2 goalies the equivalent of Swayman's salary who cannot play in the NHL.
- Trox88
Me thinks that your math may be a tad off. Swayman makes 8.8 mil, so not sure what you are talking about?

2 assists, plus 2 in 6 games so far this season.

I will let the Flyers burst that bubble themselves like they do every year...until then

- Glak18

Any confidence they’d actually draft well? Or not do something stupid like trade picks for and aging player to sell more tix?

They have no idea what it takes to build a team. They only know how to build a marketing plan

Forsberg is the player he reminds me of. Been saying this for awhile. We can only hope he puts up those kind of numbers.

It’s not a direct comparable, but Forsberg never seemed overly fast. Mm seems to be ahead of the play and omfg the passing ability. Hes a special player.

Forsberg carried the mail though, puck on his stick at all times, through the neutral zone. Michkov seems to play off the puck well; obviously both great passers but two very different players

I’m not saying Michkov can’t be Peter Forsberg but I’m not seeing right now. Forsberg owned the right half wall on the power play. Forsberg could hang on to the puck forever and you weren’t taking the puck away from him.

Forsberg was also one of the league’s greatest passers.

I really see a similarity. Maybe not as physical with the reverse checks etc but he has a similar kind of nonchalant ability to make great passes off the cycle. Hes not scared of going to the areas that you need to to score.
