Really liked Raz standing tall over the downed Jack Hughes and rubbing it in at the end!

Coach slayer still here.
You can’t keep expecting to win games being out shot 2-1. Too much Petry and Guftasson, play Johansson.

The team looks to be coming together, no doubt. WAY too many needless penalties, and WAAAAAY too many SOG.

So, I look at it this way: What's the team's shooting %, how many Shot Attempts & resultant SOG? That, to me, tells the story. Was listening to the game driving back from VA; Paul Woods said: "SOG doesn't mean anything!" I beg to differ; it means that the opposing team is getting through lanes. That can be because of any number of reasons, but mostly that we're not clogging lanes. And every SOG is a chance for a deflection, tap-in, straight-up net. We have GOT to clog the passing & shot lanes.....that's a TEAM thing, not solely a D thing. OUR having such low SOG means we're not getting in.....we're not a savvy team that can think every 2 shots results in a GF.....that's silly and will lead to a complete melt-down. We're NOT an offensive dynamo that can out-score our lackluster D. Thanks to Lyon & Talbot, we stay in most games. SOG For has got to get better, stop looking for the perfect lane and rain fire on the opposing G, something's gonna get through, I don't care about low shot %, flood the net, overpower the D, quick releases, get the puck on goal. 90-some SOG Against in 2-ish games is a huge issue.....and only 20-some SOG For is an even bigger issue.

Paul said last night that Kane was starting to look dangerous, a short time later, he scored. I didn't watch the game, but will later today. Hearing good things, for sure. BUT we have to improve our offensive plan. Defensively, Eddy/Mo Sides is as formidable as they come, they have a more defensively-capable pairing but can drive the offense better than most of the other 1st pairings out there. Johansson needs more ice time, not sure Gus is going to be a solid contributor because he can't stay outta the sin-bin. Holl's been a revelation...Johansson can carry his own as he grows, Petry's hit-n-miss; when he's on, he causes issues for the opposing team, when he's off......Lord have mercy. Johnny Burgers (H2's name for him - full credit to him!!!) is a solid contributor. Things look better, for sure. Major concerns about SOG 9both For & Against), PP, & PK.

Great to see the guys fight their butts off to come back and win. Can't rely upon that with this team, but it's great to see when it happens!

Was just going to say the same thing. Good teams don't get outplayed and outshot game after game needing their goalies to stand on their heads to win games. Continue to play like that and at some point the goalies will crack and the team will get exposed.

It may be unsustainable to win in this fashion, But a win is a WIN! And dang, a win is still FUN!
