Agreed Jeremy. Skinner can be exploited, but Detroit needs to be carefully deliberate with the puck because EDM can both exploit on the counterattack and tilt the ice.
Off topic a bit, but how would you guys rate Seider compared to Sanderson? I had a heated discussion on Daily Faceoff and was surprised how many placed Sanderson above Seider.

It’s interesting how polarizing the talk around Seider is. From draft day and still the “overrated” term gets flung about (even to Seider). I think he will rise up and grab a mantle, and I look back at the Nashville game for it. When Forsberg took a jab at him and ended up on his rear. Mo plays physical, reverse hits, blocked shots etc. I don’t know where to place him because he grabbed the top spot without a whole lot of contention. His surrounding cast leaves a lot to be desired and the “he’s only the top guy because it’s Detroit” stuff won’t change until the lineup does. Opinion, but I think he gets a lot of hate and has learned to fight through it.

I was more focused on his deployment and the team. He's getting way more challenging Zone starts against the harder competition with much worse pairing mates than most. You're probably right that until the team perception changes his value perception won't.

Ok, I get you. His brutal amount of D zone last year and carrying over see him blocking an insane amount of shots and still doing the “Iron Man”. Honestly, getting that kind of experience at 22/23 and not drowning speaks to the person. The other side of that, there just isn’t a right side D that’s going to be better than he is on that roster. Mature kid, fearless and must feel like he’s Sly Stallone in Russia training in 8 feet of snow while Dolph gets the spa treatment.

There is no hint of an effective team defense structure for the Wings. I have no clue what Lalonde/Boughner are trying to accomplish out there. If this continues, Lalonde should be gone by Christmas, if not sooner.

I agree. When Mickey talks about saying to the goalie, “see you after the game”, it’s supposed to be a joke.
