Good post, and I believe you are 100% right about the team and remembering Johnny Hockey. While this intensity and results may not last the season, their is a fire in the belly this team hasn't had in a while, and the young players are showing their potential.
Former GMJK had some good drafts, and GMDW has done a great job cleaning up the problems that confronted him when he got hired here. Signing Monahan was brilliant, and this is going to be a great season.
Everyone thinks that the roof will cave in eventually as the grind of the schedule kicks in and the team has their series of 4 games in 5 days, long roadies, and back-to-backs. But right now there are a lot of reasons to hope that this year will be better than anyone expects.
As long as they stay healthy this team has a chance to be a playoff team, at least. |
