that Islander defense is porous and slow..... |

Speaking of Defense.
Breaking up a nicely working pair of Klevin and JBD to keep Hamonic in the line up is some D.J Smith level coaching right there.
I hope this blows up in his face. |

wow green is no different than smith, he keeps hamonic in and takes JBD out when the JBD-Kleven pair was good and hamonic completely tanked Sandersons play.... |

I'm hoping they are trying to showcase Hamonic a bit for a potential trade (maybe the Islanders).
Otherwise, Hamonic has not played well (slow/plodding) while JBD has been improving with his ice time.
I realize Hamonic has a NMC (parting gift offered to us by Dorion). But maybe he can be convinced to waive to send him to a team that will play him regularly for what is his last season in the NHL. |

He's as tradeable as Marner.
Full no move.

That's what I said. But maybe you can convince him otherwise, or just make him ride the pine for the rest of the season.

What a totally uninspired game tonight. Tkachuk is a waste on skates right now, Giroux pissing around looking for a high sticking call. No energy. And on top of it all .... when you are looking for goals the 4rth line is out there with 2 minutes left. Somebody needs to light a fire under these guys. First Buffalo and now Islanders. Next up is Boston and Toronto. This has the strong potential of turning into another lacklustre losing Novemeber. Maybe Staios needs to start threatening some trades. Patience is wearing thin.
The 3rd line is invisible tonight ... again. |

Sens need to rebuild again, it is clear the core cannot win, hell they cannot erven be consistent. everyone over the age of 22 should be for trade, get a top 5 pick this year.

I don't mind the 4th line being out late in the game. Green letting everyone know the other lines are playing like absolute dog excrement. Sanderson and Tkachuk were the worst ones on the ice today. This was worse than Colorado. |

You can't send Hamonic to the minors with a full NMC. He is guaranteed a roster spot. Since nobody will trade for him, and benching him in perpetuity effectively forces you to run 22 players for the season, so the only other option is to run him out every 3-4 games so his legs stay fresh. Jensen and Zub are your 1/2 on the right, so JBD is your sacrificial lamb. Dorion's anchor. |

I agree Bart. But as Frankie Corrado pointed out this morning on the Team. If JBD can't crack the line up playing the best he's ever played......when can he? Run with 22. Hamonic sits. The 300's last night (sparse attendance that it was) was not having Hammer on the ice. It was loud and ugly.
As a casual Islander fan I understand my team at least. Old Slow badly constructed by an over-the-hill GM. A goofy coach who, at best, is a JrA level coach. They play a mid 90's New Jersey trap game until the other team makes a mistake. It's very boring and they'll never win with the group they have. That's a team the Sens beat easily when they're playing the right way.
the "throw back pricing" was cute except they don't anticipate things. If you're gonna sell cheap hotdogs and beer expect to run out and have more cooking. They didn't. Kegs were empty too..and being re-tapped. Just do something right for once.
